We wanted to keep kids safe

SafetyNest is the brainchild of husband and wife duo, Emma and Mark Black.

Our interest is in helping you have more time to dedicate to your children and improve your centre’s safety, ensuring teaching and administration tasks are easier in the process.

Our two children started preschool in Queenstown as babies and turned out to be a little accident prone!  After filling out accident forms on a regular basis and seeing how much time and effort was going into the paperwork, we figured there had to be a better way.  So we combined our skillsets in software development, Health & Safety and HR and, alongside other industry experts, developed SafetyNest with the aim of providing benefits to both ECEs and parents. SafetyNest helps to keep kids safe.

We launched SafetyNest in 2017 and since then has gone from strength to strength. According to our clients it has significantly reduced their administrative time and made better use of their resources. They tell us that the automated tools are simple to use and provide transparency, data for decision-making and improvements, and peace of mind knowing that all boxes are ticked.  They also feel good about using a more environmentally sustainable paperless system and being able to do more play-based learning outside the classroom which are two things we’re really passionate about.  Check out our testimonials page for more details.
